1. Overview
Welcome to ARC.
This website, www.arcbikehub.com (the “Site”), is operated by ARC (“ARC”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site and your purchase of products directly from ARC through the Site.
By accessing the Site, creating an account, submitting an order, or purchasing a product from us, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated into them, including where applicable:
Privacy Policy;
Refund & Return Policy;
Shipping Policy;
Product-specific terms or notices;
Any separately published warranty terms.
Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Site or purchase products through it.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
2. Eligibility and Lawful Use
By using the Site or placing an order, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the laws applicable to you.
If you are under the applicable age of majority, you may use the Site only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
You may use the Site only for lawful purposes.
You may not use the Site, our Services, or our products for any illegal, fraudulent, unauthorized, or prohibited activity.
3. Product Information and Specifications
ARC specializes in bicycle hubs and related bicycle components.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, photographs, dimensions, weights, materials, compatibility information, and other product details displayed on the Site are accurate and current.
Product Page Specifications
The specifications displayed on the applicable individual product page at the time you place your order form part of the description of the product you purchase.
You should therefore review the selected model, configuration, size, and specifications carefully before completing your order.
Minor variations may occur due to:
Manufacturing tolerances;
Production batches;
Product improvements;
Measurement methods;
Photography and lighting conditions;
Screen and display settings.
Minor variations that do not materially affect the product’s essential characteristics, compatibility, intended use, or performance will not normally constitute a product defect.
Nothing in this section limits your rights where a product is materially different from its description, defective, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise does not conform to applicable consumer law.
4. Product Compatibility
Bicycle hubs and related components are technical products and may be available in multiple configurations.
These may include different:
Front and rear hub configurations;
Axle standards;
Hub spacing;
Quick-release and thru-axle standards;
Spoke hole counts;
Freehub body standards;
Cassette and drivetrain compatibility;
Disc brake interfaces;
Bearing configurations;
Ratchet or engagement systems;
Other technical specifications.
Before placing an order, you are responsible for checking whether the product and configuration you select are suitable for your bicycle and intended application.
This may require checking your:
Frame;
Fork;
Wheelset;
Axle standard;
Drivetrain;
Cassette;
Brake system;
Other relevant components.
If you are uncertain about compatibility, we recommend contacting ARC before purchasing.
Where ARC provides compatibility assistance, that guidance will be based on the information you provide to us. You are responsible for providing accurate and complete technical information.
This section does not affect your rights if ARC supplies the wrong product or specification, provides materially inaccurate product information, or supplies a defective or non-conforming product.
5. Installation, Maintenance, and Product Safety
Bicycle hubs and components must be correctly installed, adjusted, maintained, and used.
Incorrect installation, incompatible components, improper adjustment, or insufficient maintenance may affect product performance and bicycle safety.
If you are not experienced in bicycle component installation, we recommend that installation, adjustment, inspection, and servicing be performed by a qualified bicycle mechanic.
You should follow:
ARC product instructions where provided;
Applicable torque specifications;
Bicycle and component manufacturer requirements;
Reasonable inspection and maintenance procedures;
Applicable safety requirements.
Damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper installation, incorrect maintenance, unauthorized modification, or use outside the product’s intended application or published specifications may not qualify for voluntary returns or commercial warranty remedies.
This does not exclude rights or remedies relating to defects that existed when the product was supplied or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
6. Products, Availability, and Pricing
All products are subject to availability.
A product shown as available may occasionally become unavailable because of:
Inventory changes;
Simultaneous purchases;
Manufacturing schedules;
Supply chain issues;
Stock synchronization errors;
Other operational circumstances.
We may modify or discontinue products, configurations, finishes, or specifications from time to time.
Prices
Product prices are displayed in the currency shown or selected on the Site.
Prices may change without prior notice. Changes will not normally affect an order already validly accepted by us, except where permitted by applicable law.
Unless otherwise stated, product prices may not include:
Shipping charges;
Import duties;
Customs charges;
VAT;
Sales tax;
Brokerage charges;
Other governmental or carrier fees.
Applicable charges collected by ARC will normally be shown during checkout before you complete your purchase.
Pricing Errors
If a product is displayed at an obviously incorrect price because of a genuine typographical, technical, or system error, we may contact you before fulfillment.
Where permitted by applicable law, you may be given the option to:
Purchase the product at the correct price; or
Cancel the affected product or order and receive a refund.
We will not use this provision to retrospectively alter a legitimately agreed price in violation of mandatory consumer law.
7. Orders and Contract Formation
Submitting an order through the Site constitutes an offer to purchase the products selected.
An automated order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, an order is generally accepted when we:
Confirm acceptance of the order;
Begin fulfillment; or
Dispatch the product.
We may reasonably reject or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including:
Product unavailability;
Payment authorization failure;
Suspected fraud;
Obvious pricing or listing errors;
Shipping restrictions;
Export restrictions;
Legal or regulatory restrictions;
Incorrect or incomplete order information;
Abnormally large quantities that appear inconsistent with personal retail use.
If we cancel an order after receiving payment, we will refund the applicable amount in accordance with applicable law.
8. Retail Purchases and Resale
The Site is primarily intended for individual retail customers purchasing products for personal use.
We may reasonably limit purchase quantities where necessary to prevent:
Fraud;
Unauthorized resale;
Inventory abuse;
Automated purchasing;
Promotional abuse;
Other misuse of the Site.
Customers wishing to purchase ARC products for wholesale, distribution, OEM, commercial resale, or other business purposes should contact us separately.
Business-to-business transactions may be subject to separate commercial terms and are not necessarily governed by the consumer provisions of these Terms.
9. Payment and Transaction Security
Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout.
By submitting payment information, you confirm that:
You are authorized to use the payment method;
The information provided is accurate;
You authorize payment for the order submitted.
Payments may be processed by independent third-party payment service providers.
ARC does not necessarily receive or store complete credit card or payment account information.
We may use reasonable transaction verification and fraud-prevention measures.
In appropriate circumstances, we may request additional information to verify:
Identity;
Billing details;
Shipping details;
Payment authorization;
Order legitimacy.
An order may be delayed or cancelled where we reasonably believe the transaction is fraudulent, unauthorized, or presents a genuine security risk.
10. Shipping and Delivery
Orders are processed and shipped in accordance with our Shipping Policy.
Processing time and transportation time are separate.
Delivery times shown on the Site are generally estimates unless expressly identified as guaranteed.
Delivery may be affected by:
Order processing;
Manufacturing lead times;
Destination;
Shipping method;
Carrier operations;
Customs procedures;
Local delivery conditions;
Circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If we become unable to ship an order within a promised or legally applicable period, we will handle the delay, cancellation options, and any applicable refund in accordance with our Shipping Policy and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory delivery rights available to consumers.
11. International Orders, Taxes, and Customs
International orders may be subject to:
Import duties;
VAT;
Sales or consumption taxes;
Customs clearance fees;
Brokerage charges;
Other government or carrier charges.
Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, these charges are not included in the product price or shipping fee charged by ARC.
Customers are generally responsible for charges imposed separately by the destination country’s customs authorities or carriers.
Please review our Shipping Policy for additional information.
Nothing in this section overrides any requirement for ARC to collect taxes or duties where applicable law requires us to do so.
12. Order Changes and Cancellations
If you wish to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request before fulfillment or shipment.
However, changes or cancellations may not be possible after:
Fulfillment has started;
The order has been dispatched;
Production of a made-to-order item has started;
Customization has started.
Where applicable consumer law provides a statutory right to cancel or withdraw from an online purchase, that right remains unaffected.
13. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges
Returns, refunds, and exchanges are governed by our Refund & Return Policy.
Eligibility may depend on matters including:
When the product was received;
Product condition;
Whether it has been installed or used;
Whether it was customized;
The reason for the return;
Applicable consumer protection law.
Customers should contact ARC before returning a product.
Our voluntary return rules do not limit statutory rights relating to products that are defective, damaged, incorrectly described, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise non-conforming.
14. Customized and Made-to-Order Products
Certain ARC products may be manufactured or configured according to specifications selected by the customer.
Customized or made-to-order products may require additional production time.
Where permitted by applicable law, clearly personalized or customer-specific products may have different cancellation and change-of-mind return conditions after production has started.
However, customized products remain subject to applicable rights if they:
Are defective;
Arrive damaged;
Are manufactured incorrectly;
Do not match the agreed specifications.
Please review the applicable product information and our Refund & Return Policy before ordering a customized product.
15. Statutory Consumer Rights and Product Guarantees
Nothing in these Terms replaces or reduces mandatory consumer rights that apply to your purchase.
Depending on your country or region, you may have legal rights where products are:
Defective;
Not of satisfactory quality;
Not reasonably fit for their ordinary or agreed purpose;
Not as described;
Different from what was ordered.
Any commercial warranty separately offered by ARC is additional to, and does not replace, mandatory statutory rights.
Unless ARC expressly publishes a specific commercial warranty for a product, nothing in these Terms should be interpreted as creating a particular worldwide commercial warranty period.
European Union and EEA Consumers
Where applicable, qualifying EU or EEA consumers may have:
A statutory withdrawal right for eligible online purchases;
A minimum legal guarantee for qualifying consumer goods;
Rights to repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund where goods do not conform to the contract.
Mandatory rights under applicable EU and national laws remain unaffected.
United Kingdom Consumers
Where applicable, qualifying UK consumers may have rights concerning:
Goods being of satisfactory quality;
Fitness for purpose;
Goods matching their description;
Cancellation of eligible distance purchases;
Refund, repair, replacement, or other remedies for faulty goods.
These statutory rights are not limited by these Terms.
United States, Canada, and Other Jurisdictions
Consumers may have additional rights under federal, state, provincial, territorial, or local laws concerning:
Delivery;
Product warranties;
Refunds;
Product safety;
Consumer protection;
Product liability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be waived.
16. Promotions and Discount Codes
ARC may occasionally offer:
Discount codes;
Promotional prices;
Bundles;
Free shipping offers;
Limited-time promotions;
Other benefits.
Promotions may be subject to separate conditions regarding:
Eligible products;
Validity periods;
Minimum order amounts;
Geographic availability;
Customer eligibility;
Usage limits.
Unless otherwise stated, promotions may not be combined.
We may reject or cancel promotional benefits where there is reasonable evidence of:
Fraud;
Abuse;
Manipulation;
Technical error;
Violation of promotional conditions.
17. Customer Accounts
The Site may allow customers to create an account.
You are responsible for:
Providing accurate information;
Maintaining the security of your credentials;
Taking reasonable precautions against unauthorized use.
Please notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may restrict or suspend an account where we reasonably believe it is being used fraudulently, unlawfully, or in serious violation of these Terms.
18. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, content on the Site is owned by or licensed to ARC and may be protected by copyright, trademark, design, and other intellectual property laws.
This includes, where applicable:
ARC trademarks and logos;
Product names;
Product photographs;
Videos;
Graphics;
Technical drawings;
Specifications;
Manuals;
Written content;
Website design;
Downloadable materials;
Software and code.
You may access Site content for ordinary personal and non-commercial use.
Without prior authorization, you may not unlawfully reproduce, distribute, sell, license, systematically scrape, modify, or commercially exploit protected ARC content.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of ARC intellectual property to you.
19. Reviews, Feedback, and User Content
The Site may allow you to submit:
Product reviews;
Ratings;
Photographs;
Videos;
Questions;
Comments;
Suggestions.
You are responsible for content you submit.
You must not knowingly submit content that:
Is false or materially misleading;
Infringes another person’s rights;
Violates privacy rights;
Is defamatory or unlawful;
Contains malicious software;
Contains spam;
Impersonates another person.
You retain ownership of intellectual property rights you hold in original content.
Where you voluntarily submit content for publication, you grant ARC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute that content for operating, improving, and promoting ARC and its products, subject to applicable law.
We may reasonably moderate or remove unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, irrelevant, or otherwise inappropriate content.
We will not knowingly manipulate customer reviews in a manner intended to mislead consumers.
20. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site may use or link to third-party services relating to:
Payments;
Shipping;
Analytics;
Maps;
Customer support;
Website functionality;
Security;
Marketing;
Social media.
Independent third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
A link to a third-party website does not necessarily mean that ARC owns, controls, or endorses that website.
We are not responsible for independently operated third-party services to the extent permitted by applicable law.
21. Privacy and Personal Information
Our collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy.
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies for purposes including:
Essential website functionality;
Security;
Analytics;
Personalization;
Marketing where legally permitted.
Please review our Privacy Policy and any applicable cookie notices for further information.
22. Errors and Corrections
Despite reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information, the Site may occasionally contain:
Typographical errors;
Specification errors;
Pricing errors;
Inventory errors;
Shipping estimate errors;
Technical inaccuracies;
Other omissions.
We may correct genuine errors and update Site information.
If an error materially affects an order already placed, we will address the matter reasonably and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
We will not use this provision to retrospectively remove a consumer right that has already arisen under mandatory law.
23. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Site:
For unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
To violate applicable laws;
To infringe intellectual property rights;
To transmit malicious software;
To attempt unauthorized access;
To interfere with Site security;
To unlawfully collect personal information;
To conduct phishing, spam, or fraudulent activity;
To impersonate another individual or organization;
To abuse promotions or payment systems;
To use automated systems in a manner that materially disrupts the Site;
To systematically extract protected content for unauthorized commercial use.
We may restrict access where we reasonably believe these requirements have been materially violated.
24. Site Availability
We aim to keep the Site functioning reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The Site may occasionally be unavailable because of:
Maintenance;
Security updates;
Technical upgrades;
Hosting or network failures;
Other events outside our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to minimize unnecessary disruption.
25. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that the Site itself will always operate without interruption or technical error.
This limitation applies primarily to the operation of the Site and does not remove mandatory rights relating to products purchased from ARC.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability for matters that cannot legally be excluded, which may include:
Death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable;
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
Mandatory product liability;
Breach of non-excludable consumer rights;
Other liability that applicable law prohibits us from excluding.
To the extent legally permitted, ARC will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.
Where loss results from improper installation, misuse, unauthorized modification, incompatible components, or use outside the product’s intended application or published specifications, ARC’s responsibility may be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law and according to the particular circumstances.
26. Events Beyond Reasonable Control
ARC will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control to the extent permitted by applicable law.
These may include:
Natural disasters;
Severe weather;
War or civil unrest;
Government actions;
Major transportation disruptions;
Customs restrictions;
Widespread carrier interruptions;
Major infrastructure failures;
Similar exceptional events.
This provision does not remove any mandatory cancellation, refund, delivery, or other consumer rights available under applicable law.
27. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Site at any time.
We may reasonably suspend or terminate access to an account or the Site where necessary because of:
Material violation of these Terms;
Fraud;
Security threats;
Unlawful activity;
Serious abuse of our Services.
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.
28. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms and purchases made through the Site are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
However, this choice of law does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections available under the laws of their country or region of residence where such protections cannot legally be waived.
Before commencing formal proceedings, we encourage customers to contact ARC so that both parties can attempt to resolve the matter in good faith.
Nothing in this section:
Prevents a consumer from relying on mandatory consumer protection laws;
Removes any mandatory right to bring a claim before a competent court;
Requires a consumer to waive a legally protected jurisdiction or remedy.
Any jurisdiction or dispute-resolution provision applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
29. General Legal Terms
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent legally permitted or severed where necessary.
The remaining Terms will continue to apply.
No Waiver
If ARC does not immediately enforce a provision or exercise a right, this does not mean that ARC has waived that provision or right.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with incorporated policies and applicable product-specific terms, form the agreement governing your use of the Site and purchases from ARC.
These may include:
Privacy Policy;
Refund & Return Policy;
Shipping Policy;
Applicable product-specific notices;
Separately published warranty terms.
Nothing in this section excludes representations, statutory rights, or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
30. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in:
Our products;
Services;
Website functionality;
Business operations;
Payment or fulfillment arrangements;
Applicable laws or regulations.
The current version will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
Changes will generally apply prospectively.
We will not use updated Terms to retrospectively remove rights already acquired in relation to an existing order where doing so would be unlawful.
